Just since this is an RPG forum and all I wanted to ask if anyone ever played this game:
Stuff to note about it:
- Automated combat with optional spells... (this made random combat a simple, and hassle free task. Though it limits the combat to clicking a spell when you need it or clicking an item - which pauses the autocombat temporarily. You can set autocombat speed if you're slow to react.) Needless to say combat is not the main focus of this game.
- Simple 2D anime interface - your basic Lunar/Chrono Trigger/etc visuals in better resolution VGA.
- Original CD had voice acting - yes the english version had voice acting. (Probably the jap version too of course...)
- Naked anime chicks - uh yes it actually is a hentai game (optionally you can turn that off when you install it... nerfing it down to a modest hormonal 13 yr old's game.)
Some personal opinions:
- I think the storyline was decent although I'm not a very good RPG reviewer. Coming from a line of Dragon Knight RPGs though I doubt they'd screw up that big.
- It had some interesting funny dialouge (I dunno if some were originally in the jap version or not) and events - like you start the game stark naked and get ridiculed as you walk around town.
- Overall, even without the Hentai IMHO, this was a great RPG. I mean, what else could there have been to make this better than to have naked anime chicks? Or maybe I'm just too perverted and this game sucks horribly... maybe someone can tell me.
Thats about it... maybe I'll rip a scene or pic or two if you haven't seen/played it. I've just reminisced about this game due to playing RPGM3 while trying to get some ideas. So I actually installed a DOS emulator recently and ran it.
