    RPGM3 - Suggestions of a lesser god

    Toodlee hey,

ok. I had some thoughts. How does every one feel about setting up certain rules to try to make up (at least a little) for the abuse of game data that will occurr once games start being cranked out?

    Ideas :

Moderators could track games having been submitted and swiftly smite any peoples trying to ruin people's hard work.

I still can't believe everyone has complete unfettered access to anything anyone else does. As much as it bugs me, I can't help but feel that it will be one of the great mistakes. Information Sharing at its best.

well by posting it as their own, or reposting other unapproved versions.

and by tracking i just meant keep track of the games and actively keep people from abusing the freedom

Well, as long as the game and game information stays here (or wherever it was posted), it shouldn't be too much of a problem. If someone trys to put something out that isn't theres, people will know the game and stats of the game and, well, burn the hell outta' them!

The games will have a lot of similarities to them. There's no point in harping about work being stolen, when you're just using a giant template anyway.

Put some sort of hidden code in the game that only you know about. Say "this is
            so and so's game."

You can do it secretly on item descriptions or event code something. "This game originally found on "RPGMaker Pavilion entitled Thisismybithingame". At least that's what I'm thinking of doing.

But y'know if someone took my game, and labled it as their own, I'd kinda be honored that someone would think it's that cool and try to reap the rewards.

seeing how tight this community is, I dont think it's possible for anyone to try and take credit for someone else's work.
