Okay, I bought it, and it won't work on my computer.

Is this thing only for use on the PS2?

It came with 2 discs, 1 that says for use with ps2, and a second disc that says it is pc data disc. I figured the pc data disc is so I can download and upload saves on the internet(through) my computer.

So what's the dilly-0? I don't have an HDD for ps2, and I don't have broadband for it either. Can I still use it, or do I need to get my money back?

There's a lock switch on the side. Flip it, and try to copy/paste any game into the max drive on your PC. You don't actually need the PC disc, but you do need the PS2 disc.

You don't need a network adapter or HDD on your PS2. Just a memory card and the Max Drive software. Download games from here, they'll be in a zip file that you'll need to unzip. Then save them onto the Max Drive, just like you would save onto a floppy disk or anything else. Then put the mem card, Max Drive, and PS2 disc into your PS2. And you'll be able to use the program to transfer the saves to your mem card.

Uh, can I ask another one? I got the Second-to-last fantasy xxvII(?) to work(kinda neat actually) but couldn't get Ixzion's game Were(something) to work. Looked at file. It had the extension .sps What the heck? can I ONLY download and play games that people uploaded with maxdrive????
