Variables help.

Hey all I'm a noob so bare with me.If there's any experts out there that are
willing to help,it would be much appreciated.I need to know what all you can do with variables,and how.I already read the booklet and figured out some things,but i still don't know how to make my story in chronological order,without treasure items.Like,I don't even know how to make a character be invisible at one time,until you go in a building,and talk to a certain person and then suddenly be outside when you leave the building ....very confusing but it's kinda holding up my story and that's real drag.....so somebody please help me.

You can't, as far as I know, have your party invisible like in the first RPG Maker.

Yeah, that's sucky. In order to have cutscenes outside story, one of the characters in the scene has to be a motionless party member, whose back you constantly see. Or a bystander listening in on the conversation.
