    Black and White 2

    Is anyone else getting this game or excited for it? I havent bought a game or been this excited since Katamari, so I am currently sitting here waiting for the 3 o'clock shipment to arrive.

    I think the fact they added war among the tribes is going to make the game a completely different experience from the last black and white.

    I reserved my copy so I could get the special edition creature with it, woot.

    Anyone else?

      I played the first one and it was OK.

      It lost it's novelty after a few days though, like most games of that variety.

        Animal Crossing is the only "reach some of your goals then do nothing" sim I played for more than a few sittings.

            I kind of want it, $50 is something I don't have right now though. I remember wanting everything to go faster though, and wishing it focused more on the creature than it did.

              ^They had an expansion pack for the game called "Creature Isle." You can guess what it was centered around.

                  This game has taken my breath away,

                  The ingame music is heart stopping. The graphics, well lets just say you need a beast to run this game.

                  The creature AI is incredible.

                  The whole war aspect is freakin amazing, my creature was tearing up the other tribes with my infantry.

                  All of the new buildings and the fact that there is an emphasis on building the empires is so deep.

                  Everything wrong with the first has been fixed, the guys at lionhead have really out done themselves...****.

                      I'd buy it but my graphics card isnt supported.

                        Ivalice, what are the system requirements (and the recommended specs)?

                          What I still cant get over is the music, it's so epic and all.


                          Windows XP/2000
                          memory - 512.0
                          Processor - 1.6 GHz
                          Direct X - 9.0
                          Graphics card - 64 MB with pixel shader 1.1 support
                          Hard Drive - 3.5gigs

                          It came with a diagnostics tool to see if your computer met the requirements.
                          I didn't meet the processor requirement, as I have a 1.2 GHz athlon xp2000+ (I run a geforce FX 5900+Ultra videocard if you where wondering.)

                          I could still run the game, but in the graphics options it had everything set to off, and the other options like mediums and highs where grayed out so I couldn't turn them on in custom settings. If I tried turning it on the medium or high setting, it wouldn't change anything.

                          But even on the lowest settings it still looked incredible, the islands are so lush and pretty. (It did however run hot and unstable though, my comp crashed after the 1st island)
                          I think the creature and armies AI eats up alot of the processing power.

                          I'm upgrading to a 2.6 GHz processor next week so I can play with high settings.




                          I forgot to mention that it does focus more on the creature, as he is what gives the armies moral and trains with them. There is a army leash for that purpose alone.

                          Also, as a god you now have control over the time of day in the game. Somewhere on each island there is a sundial option that lets you change the time.

                          So far of all the new buildings, I really like the toture pit, collusem, and graveyards. There are many more, but those punish citizens, keep track of your dead, and create a bloody form of entertainment.

                              I actually didn't know it was a real word. I thought I just used it inproperly and made up a word. Meh, it was my least favorite anyways.
