    Question about dungeon switches...

Okay, so I want an event that has a stone statue guarding a hallway. In another part of the dungeon, I want to have a switch that will make the statue disappear, thus allowing you to move on... Problem is, I've tried setting the second mode of the statue to correspond with the switch being on, and have it set to make the event display turn off. When I flip the switch and return, the statue is still there! STILL FREAKING THERE! The only difference is that you can no longer read the inscription on the statue... Help.. HELP! I'm sure it's something simple and stupid, but I just can't find it!

    Thanks

I've actually found that the prerequisites for events are almost utterly worthless. The mode for an event doesn't change until you either have an event code change the mode or you refresh the display, which means either way you have to have an event working with the switch.

I have heard that you can have an invisible event right next to the switch that will activate along with the switch when you push the X button. That's probably your best bet.

Just change the mode then refresh the display. It should work.
