A Scanner Darkly - the new Philip K. Dick flick from the director of Waking Life

I know there's a number of Waking Life and Blade Runner fans here so this should be a treat. Take a gander at the oh-so-teasing teaser.

What the **** is up with that style? I like it.
The Cyclops having only one eye, needed to seek shelter from the harsh sun. The shadow cast by the spheres gave him temporary respite.

Then I'm guessing you never saw Waking Life around the time everyone and their mother on these forums were raving about it.

I wonder if that style can only be achieved by manipulating it frame by frame, or if there is a simpler and more expedient process to it. Working frame by frame, I imagine, would be insanely painstaking drudgery.

"At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."
