Need Subtitle Help

Alright, I have this DivX movie right here on my computer, and what I would like to do is watch it. However, the movie is in French. I mean, I can understand French, but I would probably enjoy the movie more if it had English subs.

So what I went and did was downloaded the subtitles as a seperate file.

Now how do I apply these subs to the movie file so that they play while I watch?

Some help would be vastly enjoyed by myself and others.

Well, you'll need a player that supports subtitles, like VLC.

Then you could just load the subtitles along with the movie.

Yeah, put them in the same folder with the same filename, and then play the movie with VLC or a similar media player. Pretty much it.
