I started playing this two days ago, and this has to be by far the best GBA game out there.

I kinda wish that it wasn't random on how the points are distrubited, but that is only a small complaint.

I really enjoy the characters, which show more depth then most characters of its gene.

Hey Kefka, do we have this?

I'll agree it's fun, but it's no Yu-Gi-Oh! Destiny Board Traveler.

Yeah, we do. I was all over it for a while, but then I suddenly got sick of it. I dunno...

If you liked FFTA so much, this might be a step down. It seemed more linear, at least.

Good game, hardest TBS I've ever played.

Yeah, it's pretty difficult. I've borrowed my copy from a friend for about a year now... needless to say I haven't finished it.

I remember Vandal Hearts being difficult, but I was also a bit younger.

Well, in fire emblem, you could never choose when you wanted to get characters--they just kinda showed up. And if they died, they were gone forever. Knowing this, I played every battle ultra-conservatly and perhaps thats why I found it so hard.

Vandal Hearts was the best strategy RPG to include spurting fountains of blood ever.

I was kind of bored playing Fire Emblem to be honest. There's a pretty large selection of strategy RPGs availabe for GBA, of which I'd choose Final Fantasy Tactics, Tactics Ogre, Shining Force, and either Advance Wars over it.

Any of the other battle systems are more fun to play. I think Fire Emblem's system is stripped down comparitively to competition. The game needs more upgradable aspects for the characters and also more combat variation than the basic 'Rock, Paper, Scissors'. Plus, it's inferior visually comparitively to competition as well. I just think it's way too dry.

I tried FFTA, but for some reason I just couldn't hold much interest in it (partially because of a lack of a fitting room, for certain). I'm interested in Fire Emblem, but I'll wait for the GameCube edition.

I didn't like FFTA at first either but I warmed up to it. I REALLY warmed up to it. 75+ hours of warming up to it!!

AND STILL COUNTING.

There was one. You press start in a shop. The only problem was this feature is never talked about in the instructions or in the game. You just have to figure out you can do it.

Playing Vandal Hearts when I was about 10 or 11 didn't help things eithBLSURGL
*swept away by blood tsunami*

And I'd be doing some warming up next to that FFTA if I could find mine...

In comparison for difficulty, I'd say this one is the hardest GBA strategy RPG on the market. I ended up starting over once because my main characters were so weak. After playing a unique strategy where I would just not use people I knew weren't going to be worth it, I eliminated a lot of level building because by the time I finished Lyn's portion of the tale, I had a team of severely high levelers that eventually join elsewhere in Eliwood's or Hector's sections. After you learn just how the game works, it becomes much easier. The only annoyance is that only a few of your characters can actually hurt bosses enough to make them attack without getting killed in one to two attacks.

FFTA was way too easy, but I played it for 100 hours + and loved it to death. It's really a "I hate it" or "I love it" thing with FFTA.
