well, square's releasing fm5 sometime next year in the u.s.
i really like the front mission series. it's a nice change of pace from the usual tactical fantasy genre. i like the modern warfare thing.
fm3 was my first taste and i loved it. i spent over 100 hours on that game. then, fm4 was basically a minor upgrade of fm3 and i have to say i loved it just the same. i enjoyed customizing my machines and outfitting them with weaponry, then taking them into battle and throwing holes into opponents with machine gun fire! wheeee!
i love the sfx too. although, sometimes it's tedious when you have to worry about changing & comparing parts and micro-managing everything, but that's what a good strategy game does best. gives you details to work with.
i wished square would've released fm history for the psone.
overall, i'm a front mission fan. anyone else?
