    A few questions

I'm still fairly new to RPG Maker 3, but I think I got most of it down. I have a few questions though, cause some things I can't figure out.

    1. a) Monster damage. I can't figure out how to get them to do normal damage. They always do 0 damage. And it's kinda annoying having to adjust the strength over and over again just to get them to do 5 damage. Is there any easy way to set their damage without having to do trial and error with their strength? b) Is there a way to keep them up with my characters? Like they level up and/or get stronger as I do...cause after 2 level ups there pretty easy.....

    2. I want a little event or something where 2 bandits harass a woman, we exchange some words, and then I fight them. I mostly got it to work, but after the battle I get no expierience or money, they don't disappear from the town, and the whole thing happens again when I talk to the lady again. How do I fix those problems?

    3. How do I set an event to autorun when the game starts, after the prologue? I know how to fix the looping problem with it, but I don't know how to setup the event or where to go to start it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    EDIT:

1 other thing, can you have 2 different games going on the same memory card?

I typically set monsters up as level ones and then just set them to an approximate level (about what level I think the party should be when they reach that point) in the Monster Party setup. As for the no damage, I've been generally having the physical attack level be about 4-6 pts higher than I would normally set it to compensate. And as for part b) the only way I know of to level up monsters is to create additional parties of the same monster type with higher levels. I've done that a few times with my game, but not much since you can only have 100 different Monster Parties.

I'm assuming you're using character battle as opposed to monster battle, and if that's the case, I don't know how to help you with the money/experience. But for the happening again when you talk to the lady, just add an additional mode to the lady, and at the end of the battle set them to display off and set the lady to the next mode.

Just create an auto event anywhere on the map that you start the game in, and that should go off immediately when you start the game after finishing the prologue. Just be sure to stop it from looping and you should be fine

Not a problem, we're all learning here so the more we spread the knowledge the better off all of us will be.

I've never actually tried that, so I don't know, but if I can free up some space I might give it a whirl (after backing up my current game just in case I hose everything).

    dim.

      Re: A few questions

yeah, you can, either that or they give you the option to save the same data twice which would be really wierd.

as for the damage sure, it takes a while but i just increase the strength of the monster in increments of twenty until it starts to do a little too much, then i lower it accordingly. sure, it's hard work, but it's gonna be difficult. always has been. i also start with around like 120 or so, and i usually only do this for the stronger monsters, like the bosses.

P.S. I'll edit this post and let you know if it works after I try it.

        EDIT:

Yep, it all works. Things are flowing more smoothly now. Thanks a lot guys. Now maybe you can help me with my question in my other thread

          Re: A few questions

I wonder if anybody's figured out the attack/defense ratio yet.

            Re: A few questions

I think it's just straight foward, attack-defense. There was a topic talking about this, but I can't seem to remember which one.

Yeah getting Monsters set up can become
quite tedious. You just have to keep working on it
until you get it the way you want it. In the end, you'll
be hapy you worked on it so much.
