Re: Cinamatic
No, the only way to make a cut scene is with the storyteller.Last edited by Lord_Mofop; 10-01-2005, 03:28 PM.

Re: Cinamatic
you can do cutscenes pretty easy without the story teller, the intro to my game is prolly like 5-10 min long and its a mixture of storyteller cut scenes and some more creative cutscenes

Re: Cinamatic
You can do cinematic cutscenes, just that they can't involve the characters walking around during. But you can have the characters (not the player character) do animations while they talk which makes it look better than what you could do with the other two RPGMs.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

Re: Cinamatic
You could change characters' animations while talking in RPGM2. Even the player character.Originally posted by Pandemonium2004But you can have the characters (not the player character) do animations while they talk which makes it look better than what you could do with the other two RPGMs.
There were just not as many to choose from, but since you could adjust the play speed of the animation it balanced.
I was let down by the cinematic inability of RPGM3, but am finding other things to like.
But if you like creating cinematics, ya can't beat 2 (except possibly with RPGM4) (I hope).
Peace.

Re: Cinamatic
I know RPGM2 can do far more cinematics than 3, it's just that I can't do them. And what I can do I usually didn't like much. I'm aware of the advantages of RM2, but I'm not a big fan of it, it required putting a lot of time into all the parts of RPG Making that I don't enjoy putting time into.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

Re: Cinamatic
Nothing to apologize for. I realized the way I said it the first time made it sound like well, exactly what you thought it sounded like. I don't like RM2 much for making games (though I'm determined to make at least one) but I certainly enjoy playing others' games and I didn't want to make people think I was downing it.
And if anyone wants a great example of the "cinematics" you can do with RM2 just check out Tabloid by shawnforbes. It's a movie for cripes sake. Which really couldn't have been done with any other RPGM.Last edited by DarkwingChuck; 10-02-2005, 12:04 PM.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

Re: Cinamatic
I think there's a couple of movies for RPGM1. One is Seinfieldinator, the other was Part 1 of a 3-part movie. I'm not sure the other two parts were finished.
Anyway, I'm going to avoid the storyteller feature when I can myself. Even if I'm unable to have the characters move around, I'll at least be able to have the characters animate."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."

Re: Cinamatic
I didn't mean that there weren't any movies for other RPGMs only that the way Tabloid was made wouldn't have been possible on the others. Sorry for the confusion. Second time this thread I've done that LOL. I watched Seinfeldenator but I didn't know you made a movie Vonwert. I'll definitely check it out considering you made one of my top two favorite RPGM1 games.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!
