From what I hear, comes out on Monday.

Basically, you play the hero (Duh). And if anyone remembers what happened in Pokemon Coloseum, the shadow pokemon didn't end at Tyranitar. XD001, or as we know it, Lugia is the main focus of this game. If anyone is intrested, serebii features more on the subject of Pokemon in general.

The game features around 80 pokemon to purify

You start with an Eevee instead of Umbreon and Espeon

Better character models, and better movements and animations

More Shadow moves

Also, Miror B. returns

pokemon makes for decent(if maybe a little basic) rpg gameplay, but i stopped playing pokemon a long time ago because it's all a constant rehash of what came before. that, and to admit you play pokemon is risking your life amongst peers.

nice to see another rpg for gamecube though. i guess...

I was a Pokemon fan up until the GBA versions. I expected it to be a big leap in gameplay and it turned out to be exactly the same as the previous games. And the whole thing of not being able to catch 'em all without linking up with the other version ticked me off because I never had anybody to trade with. Pokemon Yellow was my favorite, it was kinda cool having Pikachu tag along outside his Pokeball. They should've expanded on the aspects of raising him though.

I admit I play Pokemon a lot. Like everyone says, "The games are awesome, but the anime sucks ass". Even then, the anime now isn't so bad. Pokemon may seem like a basic RPG, but in order to win the events in Coloseum, Staduim, and Emerald you really have to dive into how the system of raising your Pokemon.

And if you have to risk your life telling your peers you play Pokemon, you must have some stuck up peers, because I'm in high school, and I play Pokemon in class all the time. I know people that play Digimon and Yu-gi-oh in class, also and nobody ever bashes them.

But when ever someone asks me, "Leik Ohmigod, are you playing Pokemon?" I tell them, "Does it look like friggen Pokemon, you retard?" They always shut up after that.

I was disappointed with Collesium. It was a nice attempt at a Pokemon RPG that wasn't...

"Become a Pokemon Master by collecting 8 badges and defeating the Elite Four/Five. Oh, there's this villainous group called Team Whats-its-name, but they're not important."

Mostly I didn't like how the game flowed. I'm too used to travelling on grassy paths and through caves to get from place to place. Instead I'm just choosing a town and fighting battles in whatever building dungeon is in it. I think there was only one cave in the whole game.

Oh, and the music sucked. I mean seriously, you call those boss themes? And what's the deal with the theme that plays in areas occupied by those Dark Pokemon people?


I'm interested in XD, though, if only because Lugia is my favorite legendary.

The music on Mt. Battle kicked ass. And also, the pokemon in XD get moves they shouldn't learn. Most of them are refresh, but Lugia gets Psycho Boost, Deoxys signature move.

I am kinda find the games boring now, all you do is fight more pokemon, and run back to the Pokecenter, fight more pokemon, run back to the pokecenter. It hasnt really innovated it self in some time.
