    Trace Memory? Lost In Blue?

I grabbed them both yesterday and I am liking Trace a lot but man Lost In Blue is hard..trying to keep your character fed, hydrated and all that is a pain in the ass, I just keep dying while trying to get to new areas.
I was hoping it would be more exploration and less sim, not digging it so far..
    Anyone else get these?

Nah. I'm not so sure I'd enjoy them. Plus, Castlevania comes out next week and I'm still playing Advance Wars DS.

Trace Memory, Lost in Blue AND Lunar DS are all supposed to be major disappointments.

      TOTAL bummer.

I've heard that Lunar DS isn't bad persay, just some bad ideas. Like when you run you loose HP.

        WHO'S BRILLIANT IDEA WAS THAT!?

That's just about the dumbest thing I've ever heard in any RPG. Wonder if it can be done in RPGM3.

I'm still waiting for Animal Crossing, Trauma Center, New Super Mario Bros, and Black & White: Creatures.
I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

I am LOVING Lost in Blue. Maybe you have to be a Survival Kids vet...

It's a very gradual process, somedays you make progress, others you're in the red. It's also a good idea not to leave Skye behind during all your exploration, the reason there's fruit everywhere is so you can eat away from home.
Oh my god! You are so beautiful.
I had no idea how beautiful you were.

Hey Gus can you give me any advice to get past the first few days?
I arrive on the island I go and collect as much food and items that are around as I can then I go and make fire in the cave, what should I be doing after that? Thats the point where I am running around and die as I run out of water and such.

I'd love to get Trace Memory. It looks really interesting, but I heard it was short in length.

                  Sure, SERGE.

First off, right outside the cave, to the southeast is a little spot to drink from the river.

Now your second day after one night in the cave you can fill up as much as you can on coconuts and go east across the stepping stones. You'll find Skye, then the cutscene'll take you back to the cave. Take her hand and go drink from the river.

When you have a fire going, you can have her cook the seaweed and clams by telling her "Let's eat now."

You can examine the northern wall of the cave to get a shelf space of 5 items. Return to the beach you came from to find bottles and the water drum.

Somewhere after this, I can't remember how exactly, Keith'll get the idea to make the fishing spear out of a sharpened stone and a wood stick/bamboo stick. Go to the river and catch black bass, two of those will give you quite nearly 100% stomach.

With a full stomach, you can take Skye up the north slope to the water fall, there's a few log puzzles, then at the summit there's a field full of raspberries, so you can fill up. Both of you are able to push the bolder.

Now you can hunt for more fish, and when you're good and ready, trek alone back to the waterfall and into the cave, then take the west exit. Pick up a couple vines and go home. Skye will be able to make rope, Keith will be able to make beds and the next morning Skye will set up a woodpile to keep the fire going while you're away.
Oh my god! You are so beautiful.

                    Is this game for DS?

If it is, I really want to get one.

Hey thanks Gus for writing all that out!
One more thing though is I go to the river to get some water at that clearing but how do I make him drink? I tried to search but nothing happens?

I really thought about getting lost in blue, cuz I am a Harvest Moon freak. But Castelvania Dawn of Sorrow comes out next week.

Re: Trace Memory? Lost In Blue?

You need to drink from the pebbly riverbank. When you stand there the A command changes from "search" to "drink".

It helps to have a plan before you leave home as I figured out. I meant to collect a fur, but I got side tracked and started gathering twigs and such, so by the time I got to the veldt my characters were starving and falling asleep, not to mention that hunting is really difficult. '~'

Once you examine the vine, you learn how to make a fishing rod (wood stick + vine + sharpened stone). It makes things a lot easier, you'll fish up a bass or carp every time. You just have to routinely search the ground for bait.
Oh my god! You are so beautiful.
