Due to circumstances, there's going to be a semi-drastic change in what kind of content is acceptable on the public boards. Because neither Valkysas nor I wish to Disney-fy the forums into nothingness, we're giving the more open-minded, mature members of our forums a chance to talk uninhibited in the Pavilion Playground, a forum that will be up shortly.
With this comes a change in how we'll do business in all the other forums. Our previous standards were apparently too lax, so the cursing, race-related joking and any/all other forms of pervertedness or heavily violent content will not be tolerated. This includes all the homoerotic-laden chicanery we've grown used to. On top of that, the use of the "racism" emoticon will be forbidden. Anyone seen using it will be punished by the mods or admins.
Things will be a lot more relaxed at the Pavilion Playground, however. In order to keep such "questionable" content from young posters (and their parents), only people that request to be let into the Playground, and that get approved by our staff, will be let in. If you've been here for about nine months and we trust you're mature enough to handle yourself in the Playground, you'll be let in. Just about the only people we wouldn't let in are spammers or flamers.
I'm sorry it had to come to this, but in order for us to keep the freedom of expression we've become accustomed to, this has to be done. Be good boys and girls and don't let us catch you doing anything that wouldn't be appropriate for children to see.
