Help. Can't remember the name of this book..

This is gunna be garbled and vague, just like my memory.

This kid gets invited to this magic house, there's like evil siblings one lives in the attic, ones like thorny, the other a gargoyle or something, turns out the house was a trick to lure them there.. agh.. i cant remember anything except that I liked that book.

There were nice little art pieces at the begining of each chapter. I'll write more if I remember, any ideas?
"At first it just looked like a picture of a bunch of lily pads, but then I started scraping at it with my pocket knife and the whole painting just sort of spoke to me," Schmidt said. "For the first time, I finally understand what Monet was trying to get across in her work."

Well, it's not A House With A Clock In Its Walls.

And that's the only book I've ever read.

Is it the one where time slows down inside the mansion and when the main character finally gets out, he finds his father to be an old man?

And the house takes on the form of a face of the evil person who controls it?

It's not 'The Plant That Ate Dirty Socks'. Those books were probably lame but I loved them back in the day.

My guess is the Thief of Always by Clive Barker.

              I love that book.

I think the siblings name was, Rictus, Jive and Marr.

                  Yeah. That is the name.

I really liked that book when I was growing up. Real twisted.
