    Help with dungeon floor switches

How do you get the switches in the dungeons to do anything? There is no option in the dungeon editor to link it to an event, and when the cursor in layout editor is moved over the switch, it does not register it as an event. Do I have to put an invisible event over it to get it to trigger? Also, can I use a switch in a dungeon to open a door in the same dungeon? Thanks.

when placing events, you can set their mode conditions to whether dungeon switches have been activated. (only when placing events in dungeons does this feature become available).
