Yes a it's dumb but when your stuck your stuck, I have not figured it out because i only bought the the game yesterday and i'm still getting aquainted with the games settings and such.
Here it is, how do i set it so i can have npc's on the map (or anywhere).. what are the steps? I think there's something about making it visible so that you can use it in the layout but i'm stuck with that.
In any case i'll try to figure it out on my own before i get back on...
any help would be great, if this was replied to forgive me and point me to it...

go to Layout Editor. Now, go to the place that you want an NPC, assuming you already have it's graphic, place a Character. Go to page 5 and you can edit content.

Yup, but first you need to go to the People editor and actually make a person that you want to place.

no actually you can just select make character in the lay out editor and choose to make a new one right there. :D
its really useful for making towns with unimportant NPCs

Select Make character in the layout editor? I don't see it, If anyone would be kind enough to tell me how to do this step by step, i would appreciate it very much.
Edit: I should not have put (or anywhere) I know how to place 'em in a town or dungeon, but the worldmap is where i have this problem.
