I have made an enemy and have put them in a group of two. I haven't assigned the enemy any skills, or traits other than basic stats. When I play the battle the two orcs just block no matter what. Does anyone knows why this is happening. I have however made them attack by making a special skill called "attack", but that can't be the way to have them do normal attacks. If anyone knows please help.

Re: The monster wont attack
I noticed this too while testing some battles the other day.....I believe it has something to do with the tactics setting (actualy I dont know what its called, its a setting on the first page of monster creation...), I think the default setting is "Balanced", but if you select "Physical attacks", your monster should stop blocking....Esper Quest

Re: The monster wont attack
Did you load a sample or create your own?
If you created one, then you need to give the Orc at least a skill named 'attack' or something, with just a normal animation and no effect. If not, then all they can do is block.Spell Name: Summon Atomic Monkeys Special Forces Squad
Description: Calls the Atomic Monkeys Special Forces Squad to fight for you
Prerequisites: A DM who doens't mind if you're INSANE

Re: The monster wont attack
Not really. The AI is set by many different factors and I noticed, because my game uses low stats, my monsters almost never block. If you created one, then you need to give the Orc at least a skill named 'attack' or something, with just a normal animation and no effect. If not, then all they can do is block.
A monster usually blocks when they're either outnumbered or outgunned. If you have a full party equipped with the best weapons, chances are the monsters will always block if you set them to balanced. Your best bet is to either load the monsters up with skills (in which case they'll use a balance of skills and attacks) or simply set them to physical only or physical.
