    First Person?

I was wondering if anyone has ever made a First-Person game with ANY RPG Maker? (That includes, 1, 2, 3, and XP) Thankyou for your time.

I dont thik it is possble with any rpgmaker except 2. I think you could modifythe viewpoint in two, where it was always right in front of the character, so it could be almost perfect first person.

You could make a 2D game first-person, but it'd only work right if it were menu-movement-based, like those Japanese dating sims or Monster Rancher (up 'till 3). That's ruling out 2D FPS games, which I'd strongly recommend against.

In RPGM2, though, it's simple to do with the right scripting, and would look dandy.

And in order to do that properly you'd need to set an event that checks what direction is pressed so it changes the camera instead of changing the character's face direction.

You can also fake it on rpgmxp but it's more akin to the 2D tile based movement seen in old first person rpg's like Dungeon Master and Wizardry.

Not to brag, but my Plasma Dreams demo had a FPS minigame in it(it was available at Doan's Domain, but few people played it before it got taken off my downloading space). Doyleman seemed to like it and I loved making it. RPG Maker 2 is best suited for FPSs, but don't expect to make a Doom 3 clone or anything.

I also have a FPS mini-game in RPGM 2 game, Crown of Order. It's an archery range game which limits your movement but still does a good job of playing like a FPS.

The Crown of Order demo is here.
