I just realized how truly amazing Phantom Brave really is and now I'm addicted to it.
I always knew this game was deep but somehow a lot of it passed me.
Now im merging characters and items and getting new titles.
DAMN!

Someday I will get to play Phantom Brave...
...one fine day when I finally finish La Pucelle first.
...a distant day that will never, ever happen. Oh well.
So, uh, yeah.

I got it for Christmas but haven't played it yet.
I am looking forward to it, but don't have much time to get into playing it now.

Mother of Marmaduke, I haven't even finished Disgaea! I started playing it again about two days ago. The game is RUTHLESS, even with all the advantages you get over the enemy! How did all their levels suddenly get so much higher than mine?
At first I thought I was sick of it, though. I'm liking it again.

Luckily I have gotten Disgaea out of the way (minus the extra areas/endings).
Must finish La Pucelle first. Soon enough.
So, uh, yeah.

Dear lord, there's no end to micromanagement in Phantom Brave.
Oh yeah, if you leave the game on at the title screen, the game will show you some really neat tactics in the demos.

Including the Suicide Tactic which only one monster with can do perfectly.
I've got to finish up on that game.

Disgaea had those insanely random levels where nearly the entire level was on random elemental squares or whatever, so everything in the battle became scattered and you were all like 'WTF?!" Like that power ranger battle. That one was hilariously bad, and insane at the same time.
And the levels where you were invincible unless you destroyed that prism, and there was only one tiny block that you could place enemies and do away with them one at a time. Good level-building when you're an idiot and mess up the first portion of the game.

It's not like those tactics game, that if I **** up early on with my leveling plan, I'm screwed for the rest of the game?

Sort of, but unlike FFTactics, it's easy enough to remedy, because you can go back and replay any battle no matter where you are.
I played one battle with a couple of color gems, including an Invincible one, but I destroyed one of the gems and they all became one color, so the entire field became Invincible and I couldn't kill anyone. So I had to start over. Heh heh.
