View Full Version : Wild Arms: Alter Code F
This one came outta nowhere, pretty much. Thinking about the new portable generation and the current console hits (along with marathon sesions of Monster Rancher 2) made me forget this game's impending release (almost) completely.
Wild Arms was one of my all-time favorites. I look forward to seeing how this apparent overhaul of the first installment goes.
Anyone interested?

I didn't know about this until just now.
I dunno, I kinda liked the ULTRACHIBINESS of the first.

no one knows when it comes out. agetec missed the november release (competition for the november 17th date was WAY too heavy).
last I heard directly from agetec was february. most store have it slated for the 19th.
still, with no word from agetec, no one can be sure. I know the game will rock though, the guy who did the translation (Justin) is a former employee of enix, and has been all around the industry. they worked for over a year on it, plus, they were looking into some kind of bonus to release with it.
Ah, no matter. I'll wait for it anyway.

Yay for Agetec!
Known about this for awhile. So has Gus. It's just that there's been zero coverage of it so it's flown under the radar. I'm also waiting for Another Code F.

heh, about the coverage, I talked with agetec quite a while ago, and they planned to give an interview and such to one of my friends that works for 1up.com. might be why they havent been doing much other press yet.
Another Code F will be the perfect opportunity for me to give 2nd Ignition another chance, as I couldn't get into it before.

I believe I lost interest after the second disc. It's definately the low point of the series. I think...
It's like Jurassic Park II and III, it's hard to decide which one's worse.

I blame that on the HORRIBLE translation of 2.

I thought Jurassic Park III was better.
I'm actually looking forward to Wild Arms: The 4th Detonator more. All I've seen are dungeon crawling videos (http://www.gamesarefun.com/gamesdb/media.php?id=607), and those look sweet enough.

I wonder if agetec is going to be the new publisher for the series. probably depends on how well Alter Code F does.
it'd be nice to have some consistant quality in the series...

My, that actually looks fun. I didn't think RPGs could be that anymore.

sony gave up on the Wild Arms series in the US. was never a huge seller as far as sony was concerned.
To me, judging from the vid, the general gameplay of 4th Detonator seems quite similar to, say, MMX8. I sincerely hope the controls are tight, which I expect.

I seriously can't wait till it comes out! I really enjoyed the Wild Arms series...even though I really never played WA2.
From those scenes, the game looks to be very good!

Still need to finish WA1. Easy enough using the 255 item glitch.
Barely touched WA2nd Ignition. The translation may be screwy but it makes for some funny lines.
Barely touched WA Advanced 3rd. Really, REALLY should finish it.
Excited about Alter Code F. Being able to play as THE GRIM REAPER'S PEN PAL! THE ULTIMATE MACHO MAN! (Sadly, WA1 dialogue will probably be non-existant. "My work is flawless and fat-free!")
Haven't watch this 4th Detonation movie. Will assume it rocks.
So, uh, yeah.
