    Dungeon layout question

I picked up RPG Maker 3 last night and started toying around with it. Went through some of the test game and looked at the design tools. I noticed that you can only give one enemy layout, per dungeon, per floor. I was hoping to be able to make a healthy size single floor maze with multiple groups of enemy groups in it (if that makes any sense). What I'm now thinking is that I'm going to need to create a stairway down/up to get to another floor in order to implement multiple enemy layouts by section. The only other thing I could come up with is to setup a hallway which changes dungeons without the player realizing it, but I don't think that's possible, because there will always be the loading times. So, would I be correct then in assuming multiple floors would be the best way to go, or is there some way to work-around the 4 enemy groups per dungeon, per floor??

    Thanks,

P.S. This so far has been the closest to a great dungeon crawler creator that I've seen yet. If there were about 2-3 things changed (basic stuff such as the topic mentioned above, battle speed, and walking/running controls), it would be perfect. But overall, great job so far, but I'm still getting started.

Maybe you could make an event to change the enemy layout, after completing a certain part of the dongeon, enemy layout changes or something.

Im still waiting for my copy of RPGMaker3 so i dont know if its possible. I think so.

Interesting idea...I'll have to play around and give that a try. I never would've thought of that one.

      Thanks!!!

I'll let you know if it works!!

Loading times are minimal so your original idea would work fine in my opinion. Its probably the best way to give you a huge one floor dungeon with more than the 4 allowed monster party setups. Still, all this means is that you should make dungeons floors smaller with several levels to make it as big as you want rather than one large sprawling first floor.

setting up an event to change the monster types doesnt even sound possible from what I've seen that it can do.

Quick question, I was testing the warp idea this morning. Is there a way to create a different warp graphic or to set it to be blank?? I was playing around with a test dungeon, and couldn't find anyway to select/create a different graphic. It just seems wierd to have the option to select the graphic in there if it's the only graphic that can be used.

          Thanks!!

You can make an invisible event with the warp effect, anywhere.
