2 more questions from a guy foaming at the mouth...

    1) When you level up, can you control the amount of exp. req to level up, and can you control stat gains in leveling up??

    2) How are magic spells acquired in this game?? Via leveling up or purchasing (or both)??

Thanks again!!! And if there is a FAQ on this, please just point me to it, and I'll stop asking newb questions.

    1. When messing around in the class editor, you have the option to modify the rate at which each class levels up. For example, you can choose between slow, average and fast. This doesn't let you choose how much exp you need exactly or the incrimental levels at which it increases per level, but it does give you the chance to have some control there.

    2. As far as I've been able to tell, you create spells that your characters gain through leveling up. The classes that are already in game have low level spells already set to learn, but you have to design what comes after that. I haven't seen an option to buy spells, but I might have just missed it in all the other stuff there is to play with.

As for an FAQ, I was asking for one right off the bat too... but after playing with it for a few hours and reading the instruction book that came with it, RPGM3 seems a lot more user friendly. It's really not as complicated and daunting as it appears from the start. I recommend loading up and playing the sample game, as it really does a great job of showing you what the engine is capable of. I also recommend editing the sample game. It's a fantastic way to experiment with things.

The longer you play with this, the easier it gets, so I don't think an FAQ is really necessary, though I'm sure some great ones will be created soon.

There are event commands to teach characters skills (As well as to make them forget said skills). These commands could be used to create a spell shop of sorts.

It appears that you would need to have a shop that sells spell scrolls. Then you have a character (Probably also in the shop) who teaches the party members how to use the skills. The spell teacher would have a mode for each scroll in your possesion, with the command to teach a selected character the spell in question.

Almost everyone here will disagree with you there.
