Social commentaries are only considered racist if the party it refers to doesn't believe in equality. I laugh at other people's expense all the time (my friends mostly), and they do the same. I take no offense to it, no matter how 'incorrect' it may be. I find it hard to sympathize with people seeking equality when they perpetuate it themselves. For instance (the most obvious example), I can understand how African Americans resent the word '******', yet where do they have the tenacity to use it themselves? The double standard in American society is making it impossible to make any strides in true equality, yet no one focuses on that. Everyone is preoccupied with who is saying what, rather than focusing on what is actually being said.
