    RPG Maker 3 Questions

Quick question for anyone out there. I'm debating between this and Rpg maker xp (don't have $110 to drop on both right now....darn mortgage), but anyway, I loved the game Shining in the Darkness back on the Genesis (first person perspective, turn-based dungeon crawler). I've tried over Rpg maker's from RPG Maker 2000/2003 for PC to RPG Maker 1 & 2 for PSX and PS2, heck I've even imported Dungeon Maker for PSX to try to build a replica in it. I've tried a couple different games and decided the only type I would actually be able to finish is a dungeon crawling maze style game. I don't have the time/patience/creativity for a traditional turn-based RPG, but I can make a wicked maze-like dungeon. I've recently played Shadow Hearts 2 for PS2 and didn't mind the perspective in it for dungeon crawling. Would I be better off getting RPG Maker 3 or RPG Maker XP to create the style of game I want to make. (As far as I know, neither game will let me do dungeon exploration from a 1st person perspective), but I think it would be easier to make pits, traps, etc with RPG Maker 3, but I wanted to get public opinion on it before I shelled out the dollars.

    Thanks,

I think RM3 is your best bet for that type of game. It's not 1st person but over the shoulder 3rd person is the next closest thing. And it'll be extremely easy to create a maze dungeon.
I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

Thanks Pandemonium2004, I was leaning that way, but after sinking a few hundred dollars into RPG Makers + accessories, i.e. memory cards, USB keyboards, etc. I wanted to get someone else's opinion. I know this question is probably answered in a FAQ somewhere, and I did read the first couple pinned topics in this thread (if someone will point me to a detailed FAQ it would be great), but how big can a dungeon be in RM3? i.e. 30x30, 10x10, etc; also, how many dungeons can you have?

Thanks again for putting up with some newb questions here.

      Thanks,
