No special edition?

First off I'd like to say even though this is my first post I have been viewing these boards for years, I just rarely post.

Anyway, I just got my copy of Rpg Maker 3 a few minutes ago and I noticed the "Special Edition" is missing from the cover. While this is not that big a deal, I was just curious if there was indeed a special edition and what exactly is so "special" about it.

the special edition line was removed from it for unknown reasons.

originally, all copies were to be "special edition", which is basically just there because agetec added hard drive compatibility to it.

the HDD barely makes a dent in the load times.

I dont know why it was removed, just that it was.

you were jipped! i'd ask for my money back and demand a copy that says 'special edition' on the cover! get the store manager involved too. make a scene and throw some things around... that'll show 'em..

special edition would imply there'd be another edition, one without HDD support. i doubt enterbrain/agetec wanted to make a second one just for that.

Hmmm... Did the japanese version have HDD support? Maybe the NA copies are indeed special!

The reason people will bring up the fact that they want one that says special edition is because it makes them feel special. Actually I want one too. Maybe the next shipment will have Special edition on it. But if it doesn't I won't make a big deal. From what Valk says ours are the special edition they just don't say it. I havn't heard any complaints about HDD not working with it so we must. Maybe you can copy the picture from the case online that says special edition and put it into the slip part that it would go into.

Lol. Nah, I won't do that. I just thought if there was a special edition and it had exclusive content, then I would rather have that version. No big deal.
