the rep-based special events were removed after I tested and saw it in effect, and figures there was no way in hell anyone would want it to happen to them (both positive and negative versions). plus, when word got out about them, there'd be massive, continuous abuse of the rep system.

positive version was a barrage of fireworks displayed on-screen and every graphic on the site would flash for the entire first 2 days that the thing was activated.

negative, everything on the site would shift to just black and red for the first two days the thing was activated.

there's going to be reputation rewards added eventually that won't be as... stupid.

Plus, the Pav and the Mag would be all color coordinated. And, yes Mark J deserves all the rep points in the world.

I'm not too wild for a rep system. Some people will even be annoying just bragging about how many posts they have made.
