    Gyango

I never posted in this forum before (except for a question about woodworking and a freshly felled black walnut tree I have in my yard, which got no responses... the answer was coat the ends of the felled tree in parafin for drying). Because I don't have a working camera or scanner just now, I can't post anything good.

But I found this digital picture of a painting I did (10 - 15 years ago) and since I do not have a working camera or scanner, this is the only bit of my art I can post for a while (unless encouraged to post a pic I found of a photo-montage (which does not count as my art but has stuffed animals (cows of course) and H. R. Giger sculptures mashed together, or I could post .mpg files of my stop-motion animation... but be warned about that... it's all done with stuffed animals too... all cows at that... I never claimed to be sane... nobody'd believe me).

Anyway, the image is of The Most Obnoxious Cow posing in front of a painting he did (through me) of Gyango. If you do not know who Gyango is you really need to watch more of the original 1960's Ultraman.

I never did give him pupils. Maybe one day.

I have paintings of many monsters from Ultraman and a couple of monsters from Space Giants, Jonny Sokko and his Giant Robot, and even Spectreman.

    I like monsters.

Hope you like it. Or hate it. Just so long as you're not indifferent to it.

    Peace.

    MOO!

      Re: Gyango

I like the art, I just wish the cow wasn't in the way.

Insane stop motion used to be a passion of mine, so I'd love to see your stuff.

          Wow, responses!

Well, I now have a decent Video Capture thingy and a computer that can handle it, so this weekend will see something posted from the SCTV tape (Stuffed Cow Television... I don't understand why, but I used an all stuffed cow cast for the stop motion).

It was done with an old full sized VHS camcorder set on time lapse, so it is a little choppy, but I'll post it! Expect it by this weekend.

Now if only I could get a decent digital camera or scanner cheap...

          Peace.
