holy crap, just... holy crap. serious business.

checking traffic, and damn, we're taking a beating this month. gonna have to upgrade the server sooner rather than later. if this trend continues, we won't make it much longer. what am I talking about exactly?

11 days into september, the pavilion has:
Used up 7.28 GB of bandwidth.
    Registered 11,000+ unique visitors
Registered a total of 1,089,469 hits from those visitors

Frankly, I'm at a loss of words. The pavilion is getting slammed (the forums only display stats from registered users), and honestly, the server is just BARELY hanging in there after last month's attack. I'd reveal what our current bandwidth limit is with the crippled server, but if I did... you'd all panic. On the bright side, Agetec will be happy, looks like there's a lot of interest in RPG Maker 3!

Ads will go up this week. they better get clicked on a whole damn lot. if they're not, pavilion dies. that simple. I dont have money to keep it afloat if this traffic remains consistant. I can keep the pavilion up this month, but after that, it'll be up to you to click the ads once, every single day. none of the ads will install viruses or spyware or any of that crap. just click, let the page load, click back. if you have a problem with this, get off the pavilion, because I'm sure not asking for a lot in return for everything here. just one click each day until I say it's okay to stop.

what can you do to help RIGHT NOW? don't have multiple windows open here at one time. don't refresh every second to see if your topic has been replied to. these are little things, but they do eat up extra bandwidth.

Ouch! When was the last Pavilion backup, and when can you upgrade the server?

This is certainly a double-edged sword, here. Yay and nay.

You've got about a hundred bucks headed your way, Paul. Sorry, but I had to dig into the GeForce fund.

I'd do another backup as soon as possible just to be safe.

I dont need anyone to send money, the revenue from the ads will be enough. backups are done every day, so dont worry about that.

I did this post to stress how important it is that people click the ads when they go up. if I didnt post the situation that is responsible for the ads, then I doubt as many people would click on them. they'll just be simple banner ads from google.

I bought someone's love at the pavilion once. Mad me feel dirty.
