I bought a DS today. I got Advanced Wars and Nintendogs. I fell in love with Nintendogs immediately. Just teaching my puppy to answer to her name was fun. They are just so dang cute. Advanced Wars is cool. The only strategy game I've ever played before was a demo of Kohan (PC) so I suck at it but it's fun and challenging and I'll enjoy pulling it out when I'm bored.

Re: Touching is good
I'd only buy a DS if I had friends with a DS so I could make horribly drawn penises and send them in the middle of class to gauge their reaction. Unfortunately, I do not have that. Advanced Wars is awesome, you should consider buying the second one. It was groovy beyond words.

Re: Touching is good
By second one do you mean Dual Strike or was there a second GBA one? Dual Strike is the one I got.
My puppy is already getting on my nerves. I think I taught her the wrong name, lol. I want to reset and start over but it doesn't seem to want to let me do that. I plan to buy GBA games too, there's still alot of those I want.I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty!

Re: Touching is good
The second Advanced Wars game, Black Hole Rising. You'd either find it at a Toy R Us or a EB Games. I'm only suggesting to buy it because it'd might make you better at the strategies since the second one is generally easier. If you have an extra 10-20 bucks (not sure how much it costs) i'd recommend it.

Re: Touching is good
Mirror post!
Here are my DS recommendations:
Kirby: Canvas Curse
Wario Ware: Touched!
Bomberman (solely for multiplayer)
Advance Wars: Dual Strike
Trace Memory
Nintendogs (any)
Meteos
Nanostray (vertical shoot-'em-up)
Pac-Pix (evil, might not want to fall in it's void)
Puyo Pop Fever
That just about covers the titles that're out right now. As for soon-to-be-released titles, including a number of them being released in a few weeks, these're games to look out for:
Ultimate Card Games (dozens of card games, and Wi-Fi compatible)
Ultimate Brain Games (a large number of strategy games like chess and battleship, also Wi-Fi compatible)
Mario Kart (Wi-Fi flagship)
Animal Crossing: Wild World (Wi-Fi compatible plus the ability to smack neighbors around with shovels)
Lunar: Dragon Song (Silver Star prequel that fuses 2D and 3D)
Trauma Center: Under the Knife (Cool operating game)
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Crazy Capcom law sim)
Dig Dug: Digging Strike (new Dig Dug)
Lost in Blue (Survival Kids sequel)
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time (Sequel to one of the best damn Mario RPGs ever)
Sonic Rush (A good one this time. See it in action first.)
Viewtiful Joe (Amazing visuals and crazy touch screen tricks)
SBK: Snowboard Kids
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrows
Real Time Conflict: Shogun Empires
Others titles slated for next year include Metriod Prime: Hunters (Wi-Fi multiplayer), Pokemon Diamond and Pearl (Wi-Fi compatible) and Katamari Damacy (!!!).Last edited by RPGD; 09-11-2005, 01:27 AM.
