It's been about three weeks since I have touched RPG Maker since the dexplorer program wasn't running on my PC. Now, all is back to normal. Since the program wasn't running on my computer, I did not dare to work on Monkey Brothers (which another demo was suppose to have come out by now). And now that I have possibly no chance in entering Monkey Brothers in the contest, I was thinking of entering Patrick's Journey and maybe fixing some bugs. What do you guys think I should do? Here, let me elaborate:
If I choose to work on Patrick's Journey and fix the errors, I will have to delay the Monkey Brothers demo yet again. Errors I would plan to fix for Patrick's Journey would most possibly be: grammer errors, crappy puzzles, and maybe even make sidequests a bit better. But, even if I fix the game, I will not change the lame-crap-kiddy storyline (which I've heard it was crap before by many people). It was intentionally meant to be bad (or at least meant to be for kids). That is what I like about the game. If I submit this game to the contest, do you think I have a chance? Or, at least, do you think it'd be for the better?
However, if I work on Monkey Brothers, I can still submit Patrick's Journey, but it won't be that good. I think Monkey Brothers will be a much better game than Patrick's Journey was. And the finished product just might come out quite nicely (sorry if it sounds like I'm sounding self-centered). If I work some more on this game, there just might be a chance that another demo will come out near the end of this month and will be something I'd be much proud to hear people's feedback. The demo will in fact include the actual gameplay.
Anyway, again, do you think I should work on Monkey Brothers and submit Patrick's Journey to the contest as it is? Or, do you think I should fix all of the errors in Patrick's Journey, submit it to the contest, and then work on Monkey Brothers regardless if the next demo is delayed? I don't want to waste time working on Patrick's Journey. Nor do I want to miss out on the contest. Post your opinions here. But until I get responses, I'm going to work on Monkey Brothers for awhile.
