RPG Maker 3 class/character question

I have a question:

Does anyone know if (in RPG Maker 3) any character model can use any weapon if they have a different class, or if certain models use certain weapons?

Certain models use certain weapons. However some can use more than one type.

That's what I thought, kind of disappointing. The archer from a video I saw looks like one of my sword weilding characters, guess that idea's shot.

I wonder what the peasant-looking characters use as weapons...any ideas?

But this idea might work in my game since in advance when there's more info out. i can plan on which character model would look good for the main character i'm creating.

I know it's a bit complicated but until there's more info i've just have to guess.

Let's see... in some cases, staves and daggers. There's a model of a homeless dude, and he fights with no weapons. There's even one of a guy dressed like a woman that can use a spear. That's about all I can remember. It's been around 4 months since I last played the import version. It's in a bin somewhere back home though.

I went to the local Game Stop yesterday and preordered it.....I have a feeling that I'm going to be frustrated when I start playing it. I'm used to the RPG Maker 2 system where nearly any thing is possible (with work, of course). I don't know though, it may turn out okay.

I will have to alter my story a little bit...I wanted a lot of monstrous looking characters and I don't think that will be possible. But, with the choice of altering it and actually putting it out there for people to play, or not doing one at all...the choice is obvious.

I'll change it, so it can be made on RPG Maker 3. It won't be so bad, I don't think.
