    Mr. Pyramid Head

Yeah, so here it is, as promised. See the "Art on a dare" topic if you want to know more about how this started.

I made this out of about 80% of a half-pound bag of model magic.
Here's the crayola site with info on model magic clay.

Not the best stuff to work with on something that requires a lot of detail, but what the hell.

Here's the basic model. I had to let him dry for a long time.
    Boring.

    Here's the finished product.

    Up close.

Here's the reference I went with when designing his head. It's from the art of silent hill bonus disc.
    Pug fugly!

Since I made the helmet removeable, I had to take some artistic liberties. How do you think it turned out? (This is with the flash on)

BENDER! I KNEW IT!! They ARE in league with each other!!

      FRY! GET THE GREAT KNIFE!

Seriously, that is cool. I like Phead's... head. Makes a lot of sense, but I like the idea that was scrapped, where his head was supposed to be James' head. That is cool, still.

C'mon, people, this isn't "Star Wars."

The idea that he would have Jame's face is ... not that appealing to me. I prefer the lumpy dough face, like the one Valtiel (SH3) has.

I guess you're right, about James' head being just weird. It was supposed to be a revelation type of thing, like when the same thing happened in a deleted scene on the movie Jacob's Ladder.

It just sounds freaky, that's why I liked it. But that face is more mysterious, which works better.

james' head makes sense and sounds cool but would have looked really stupid if it ever came to pass.

i'm just saying, i can have stupid ideas like the rest of them.

                  Re: Mr. Pyramid Head

Since we never see its head one way or the other, I can be cool with it being James' face.

But still, ain't no way to put that in the game and not have it come out looking gay.

Yeah, it does make sense, but it would look silly. o_o

That is SO awesome, Nix! Damn, I wish I had some Model Magic on hand now!

                      Thanks.

It's really fun, goofy stuff. When it dries, it doesn't weigh much at all.

That is the coolest ****ing thing EVER.

AND MAN. What revelations!! I never even thought about what Pyramid Head's face would look like... I never even thought of his head as a helmet, I thought of it as his be-all, end-all head. But I really like that awful, lumpy design. Ghastly.

Amazing stuff. I want that. Make duplicates!!

I could weep... It's that beautiful!
When will Konami/Mc Farlane toys hire you to make a whole line?!

Thanks, guys, you're really nice to say all that.

I wish McFarlane or somebody would make some damn silent hill toys. Hell, at this point I would be very happy with just one gashapon set. But Konami would rather I build my own toys out of weird crap.

And I was thinking that with the rest of the clay, I could make one of the straight-jacket guys from the backgrounds of SH1 (and also featured in SH3). I like how they look and it would round out the little SH desk crew I've assembled. I'd have to figure out some way to suspend him off the ground, though...

Oh yeah, and PH is a little short... I had to squish him down a bit to make sure he could support himself while standing out to dry.
