    RPG Maker 3 accessories

Ok, I've read up on what I need to get. Memory card, max drive, and a keyboard. The memory card is easy, I can find them everywhere. But, I wanted to make sure I had the right product pegged as the max drive.

It's called the Action Replay Max Evo Edition for PS2, correct? I wasn't sure if this was the right thing, even though it looked like it, because it seemed to be a cheat code peripheral. But, it did look like it, as it had a USB connector and it said you could use it to connect to your PC, and download cheats. I just want to make sure this is the right product that everyone calls the max drive, before blowing 40 bucks.

Keyboards...ok...I haven't looked everywhere, but the only one I've found locally is the SharkBoard. Has anyone used this? It actually looks like an adequate keyboard to use with RPG Maker 3. Any other suggestions?

Yes, the AR Max EVO is the right package, and any USB keyboard should work w/ the PS2, so don't think you have to spend $20-40 on a "special" keyboard (which, if I recall correctly, the SharkBoard is just a really expensive standard keyboard w/o all the features of a $20-40 PC keyboard).

Ditto to what tjoris said. You'd be better off getting a regular USB keyboard from OfficeMax or wherever. Those ones that are "specially designed for the PS2" doesn't really mean anything.

So, any USB keyboard will work with the PS2? Good to know, and thanks for the information!

There is the Logitech Netplay keyboard/controller though. That has the controller buttons on the sides of the keyboard so you don't have to keep switching between the two. But if you don't changing hands that much of a hassle then you'll do perfectly fine with any USB keyboard.

You can also buy the Max Drive by itself without the cheek code stuff, but since your only paying about $5-10 more, and some of the extra stuff is actually useful, you might as well get the EVO package.

If you go to Codejunkies.com you can find 32 and 64MB versions of both MAX EVO and MAX Drive as well.

Rather than spending 40 bucks on the EVO edition you can buy AR Max (without EVO) for $25. It has all the same features but you buy your own flash drive. You can find one much bigger than 16MB for under $20.
