You can always trust in Yoshi to be fun.

In the American version I heard they're replacing Yoshi with Terrell Owens.

Catch!
Touch!
Terrell Owens!

Yeah, too bad there are a lot of interesting import DS games that we don't/won't get.

Touched, FEEL THE MAGIC (snicker) and Zookeeper seem to hold Dave captive, so they must be pretty cool. There is another import game he has that I can't pronounce... I think it's a JP puzzle game but I don't know what the actual name is.

The only ones I would waste time with are the WW games.
I think they call them "MADE IN WARIO" in Japan. At least, that's what it says on the box.

This looks cool, so I'm sure he'll check it out. Then I'll get to play it months later.

made in Wario? That sounds icky.

No real platforming sequences=this is the worst attempt at innovating games since FMV based games.

LordDraconus: Don't bag it 'till you try it.

Actually, yes, the WarioWare series is known as Made in Wario in Japan. Twisted! is known as Mawaru Made in Wario, and Touched! is known as Sawaru Made in Wario. Makes sense, eh?

Ooh, sounds like something I might want to add to my DS collection (if you can call it that). Pretty sad how I only have two games, and aside from all those mini-games in Mario 64, neither of them I use the touch-screen much aside from menu selection.

This "twisted" box scares me. Pretty cool that it's for the advance, but you can use it on the DS... and you look like a total weirdo when you play it around other people.

Shove it, buddy!

Has the DS gone the way of the VB yet?

underappreciated? yes. severe eye pain? no.

i really like the games i've played on it. this one looks interesting. i wish they'd bring over that surgery one, but i imagine that's way too much translation for them to even bother.

I don't know why people rush out to buy new video game systems when they don't have any cool games to play on them. No matter how cool a new system seems, I'd advise waiting at least six months before you finally take the plunge.

I must find out what happens to Soma Cruz!

I don't know, Mario 64 seemed like a worthwhile title, even though it was one of those games ported from the N64. At least for the 30 extra stars and all the keys I had to find.

Besides that, I get to play my GBA games on a backlit screen. :) In sterio. :) But why didn't they include a button configuration option for GBA games? :(

SirTMagus

Why don't they include a Neo Geo Pocket-style ANALOG STICK?

MMMMFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll tell you what happened to Soma Cruz.

He went back home and ate a big fat burrito.

Wow. A future burrito. I could use one of those about now.

The Dark Jester

I Asked Him To Apologize But the only thing he could say was "He who denied it supplied it."

Gustaff 13

Was the burrito possesed by Dracula?

Loki

Soma ate it and then gained the soul of the burrito, which surprisingly, let him double jump.

It would take a miracle for me to pay money for a DS. A couple of stellar games is definitely needed, and the Stylus is one of the worst ideas in gaming history. For all I know a bunch of great games may come out but then there's still the stylus...

That's possibly the stupidest thing, I've ever heard.

I thought the same thing until I actually played the different DS games.

Now I enjoy it, and I like how they incorporate it into each game, especially the aforementioned WW "touched." It's always easy for me to use, I've had no issues with it so far. Then again, I do have small, girlish hands.

well everyone's welcome to their opinion, but it usually helps if you've actually experienced whatever it is you like/dislike. the "i hate it, it's stupid, i'll never play it ever cause it's stupid" opinion is unusually empty.

reminds me of the best buy video game clerk who expressed his hatred for zelda games and when asked which ones he had played replied "none of them"

The only problem I see with the stylus is that it may be easy to lose. Good thing there's a slot on the DS to place the stylus. Clicks in, so it doesn't fall out without a little help.

JLaCroix
02-17-2005, 03:46 PM
No, I've played several games on the DS. I am just waiting for games that interest me, that's all. There aren't any yet.

And the deal with the Stylus is that you are either scratching the screen with the pen or getting fingerprints on it. Not my idea of fun. However, if I played a really sweet game that didn't use the stylus, I'd be all over it.

Also, and considering that there's a good chance it will bomb, makes me even more hesitant to buy it.

Nixon
02-17-2005, 05:24 PM
Both Dave and I have never scratched the touch screen with the stylus.

Dave is one of those artists that presses down extremely hard with whatever drawing instrument he uses, so having him use it everyday is enough to prove to me that it can suvive normal wear and tear. Not a scratch yet.

If you are worried about scratching the screen with the stylus, or just don't like using the stylus, try using a q-tip. Works wonders.

And as for the best titles being available on launch, that's very wishful thinking. Most of the time there is a "settling in" period for any game system, and after some trial and error and experience making games for siad system, more impressive games are eventually released.

What did the PS2 have on launch? Fantavision and a handful of other mediocre games, right? You can't expect the next killer app when it's a new system.

i've had no problems with my screen at all. it's very clean and scratch free.

As is mine. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm a bit lightheaded from too many Wario Ware: Touched! microphone games.

Hahahahah those microphone games are the best *likes getting lightheaded* :lol
So far there have only been three DS games that strike my fancy:
Mario 64 DS
Mr.Driller : drill spirits
Wario ware : Touched!
