    File Transfer Issues

    Ok, I've been trying to send my laptop a 5GB file over the LAN, and it looked fine, but the file the laptop revieved was only 80 megabytes.

    I've checked, it's the right file, and I'm just wondering if anybody knows what's going on, or how to fix it.

    Oh yeah, the lan. I know all about the specific lan that you're using. I'm sure you using the way to send the file right? I always use that one way to send files.

        Sounds like your connection is breaking to me. I don't know.

          For sending files over a LAN, I always use PSCP.

            I thought that too, but it's consistantly 80 MB.

                Maybe you've got a preference set that will only accept 80 MBs.

                  I decided to set up a workgroup between the two computers and just stick it in the shared folder, so, this is pretty much solved.

                      Why didn't you use the program I posted? It would have been quicker and easier, and probably safer, too.
