Lately Ive been trying to get into board games.

What are some of your favorites?

Risk is always good and Ive gotten into one called Heroscape which is kinda like heroclix. www.heroscape.com

theres also one called Zombies!!! where you are trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. That one sounds waay cool.

I played Risk with some guys at this cafe at 3am a while ago. It was pretty confusing, and one of the guys kept making references to current events relating to every country. I felt so stupid.

Scrabble and chess are all I ever really play. I've played way too many unfinished games of monopoly to ever want to start again.

For me I like Risk, Monopoly, Clue is fun every now and then, Life isn't too bad, Lionheart was an interesting strategy one though it's only two player, and Sorry is a fun short game. Everynow and then I like to break out the chess set, but I was never too good at it as the waiting forever for the other players turn gets kind of boring, and I usually don't think as thoroughly as I should about my moves, though Risk can get the same way.

Heroscape looks kind of similar to Warhammer, in that it has expandable units, so you might want to look at that, though I've never played either.

I own every Zombies!!! set and expansion. I have, like, 400 plastic zombies.

We played one game with all four sets that lasted a week.

I also like Apples to Apples and Drunk Cranium.

I have the original Zombies!!! set and am currently trying to get a game started. I've also thought up a cooperative version that allows for one extra player (Effectively a DM, moving the zombies between each round, trying to kill off the players. Haven't had time to test it yet, though).

I found one game called King Maker which is a military/political game based on the War of the Roses that's pretty good.

Then there's Munchkin, for those of you who are D&D freaks. It's actually a card game with quite a few expansions and variants (All of which are compatible).

I played Apples to Apples with some friends. It was pretty fun, but there was no strategy or anything involved. Just randomness.
