    Drummers

I'm in a band in the making and we need a drummer badly. I will give more details if anyone is interested.

    Drummers are overrated.

Really? Because it seems that everyone wants to play guitar. How many people who purchase a guitar (generic fender squire bullet) play it daily and take it seriously?

Most of the people I know are all like, "yeah I got my guitar and I learned how to play stairway to heaven, i'm a rock god, I see no need to continue playing guitar." the end.

I play it daily and take it in the BUTT. Aherherher.

I really doubt you'll find band members on this site. Try asking around school.

It's amazing how simple it is to actually learn the basics of guitar playing. I'm two weeks into when I first started messing around with a guitar, and I'm by no means good or even decent, but I have it down where I can play basic songs (straight picking, I'm easing my way into chords right now).

It gives an entirely new spin on the mainstream world of music when you realize how easy the songs your pop-rock and such artists play. Someone was talking about most punk music being really simple in another topic a while back, and I definitely agree now.

Just because it's simple doesn't mean it sounds bad, though.

Drumming, on the other hand, I don't seem to have any aptitude for drumming at all. A buddy of mine has the basic band drum set, and whenever there's nothing going on, I'll poke about on the drums until someone tells me to stop because I suck.

And yeah, you won't find band members on this site. Unless they happen to live really close to you.

You can always bring a computer to drum for you onstage like Her Space Holiday.

I play bass and have been playing bass for 8 monthes now and I am very committed. I will say that I am a good bass player in a sense that I got the fingering down and I've mastered many different syles of playing such as fingering and slapping. But musically, I suck. Writing songs is really hard for me, and it's hard for us as a band because writing songs without a drummer is weird.

I didn't really expect to meet any drummers, it's just every website I go to I post something about drummers hoping to arouse someone's interest.

i used to play drums, and from that, i've learned to listen with a closer ear. some drummers are completely void of creativity and throw out simple beats that you, he, she and their mom could do.. which is, unfortunately, what most of you are subjected to.

if you've played the drums before and can appreciate the rhythm and seamless fills and breaks in the rhythm, drums can be more than what most people think of.

danny carey of tool is a good example of higher level drumming. the aenima & lateralus albums especially.

Psh, you dont want a drummer.
You need a mandolin and bass harmonica player!
                            Best band ever, man.

                              Where's JANK?

He hasen't told us why we are all wrong yet.

And based on your age, all of the band members will lose intrest in a week and still maintain the position that they are in the band.
