    Art on a dare~

My friend had some of that crayola "model magic" clay. It's this lightweight stuff that will air dry. Another friend was making a horrible effigy of me out of it. I told him that it was a waste of good materials, and he dared me to make something better. It's kind of tough to work with once it's dried out a little, but I accepted his challenge.

I made an enemy from Silent Hill 3. It's called a "Closer."

    Normally, they look like this:
    Trent would be proud.

Mine is more of a "super-deformed" version.

Here's what it looked like without paint:

And here is an ugly dark picture of it with some paint.

I worked on it while I was doing something else that was actually important.

(Edit: Sorry. I'm reposting this message)

Hey, that's not bad! I have website for hosting Silent Hill fan art and fanfiction, mind if I use that?

Thanks. It doesn't matter if it is considered good or not by the artist, I want any fanart/fiction I can get.

The paintjob makes all the difference. That looks good.

Do you sculpt with sculpy or something else at all, Nix? Got any other stuff to show?

I'm working on a maquette for school right now. It's the most detailed maquette I've ever attempeted (My third one ever too.The first 2 were Mazinger and a Pikmin.) and I'm working with a limited supply of sculpy but, I think it's coming out all right. I'll see if I can get some pictures of it someday.

I like how Nixon's crap would be a miracle for me to produce. Makes me feel good inside.

I used to do a lot of stuff in sculpy II/III, but since it's so expensive I don't fiddle with it much anymore. I've made some decent stuff, but it's pretty old. I guess the most impressive piece is a 10-12" statue that wasn't that great overall. I've done some work in ceramics but since I don't have a studio/kiln...

You'll never know until you try. The stuff I used is cheap, get some and see what you can come up with.
