We will soon be hosting games and demos made with the legal english version of RPG Maker XP. We do have a way of checking if it was made with the pirated version, and if a game is, we'll delete it and ban you from the pavilion. we don't like people who steal from enterbrain. of course, this ID method can't distinguish from users of a patched japanese copy, so you'll likely be asked something about the software's package or manual to prove you own it. By the way, don't even try to submit 2K or 2K3 games.
First off, there will be no auto-submit system for the XP games. You upload it to somewhere like yousendit.com, and send a PM to me with the URL, and the game's information. I will then download your game and host it on the pavilion... as long as it's under 20 MB zipped. the size restriction may be relaxed in the future, but after the attack in early august, we're using a much smaller hard drive than we were before, and we have to make it last until the damaged equipment is replaced.
Also, demos will be removed from the site after 2 months. if you want your demo back up, re-submit it. I know this sucks, but with the huge file sizes of RPGMXP games, we can't afford to host demos of games that the creator ends up abandoning.
Our main focus has always been the console RPG Makers. our support of RPG Maker XP on this site is just on a trial basis to see if the pavilion can handle it with the current server hardware. if not, it will have to wait until the planned upgrade in 2006.
