    What's up

I just stumbled on this site last night, wish I'd have found it sooner! I am an avid RPG fan! I am actually working on a Final Fantasy type game using RPG Maker 2 on the PS2 system. I have a PS3, and rarely play my PS2 anymore, but I still like RPG Maker 2. Is there a way to get RPG Maker 2 installed on my PS3?? That would be awesome! If anybody knows how, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!

    Re: What's up

Nope, no way to do that.

Early PS3s can play PS2 games like RPG Maker 2, and that's the only way to play the game on a PS2.

However, since you have a PS3, if you get the memory card adapter for it, you have an easy way to play games other people have made, and share your own creations.
To play other people's games, you basically follow the instructions here, but at the end use the PS3 memory card adapter to move the save onto a PS2 memory card. To share your own creations, you reverse the order of the instructions, starting with a memory card adapter to put your save on the PS3.

At least, I'm pretty sure that'll work for PS3s without PS2 support. I think they still have the PS2 memory card management option

    Welcome to the Pavilion!

O, ok. Thanks Valkysas! I do not have a PS3 memory card adaptor...is that an external device or is it something I can download? how/where can I get one?

        Re: What's up

I just looked up the adaptor and found no stores around me have any in stock... is there a work around?

Also, the game that I was interested in had a PS2 format file also, but I do not have a way to tranfer it to my PS2! Any suggestions?

Well, you can buy it online.

For just PS2, you can buy a max drive (also online). You can see how that works here.

Thanks again! You have been very helpful!

Do you by chance have the max drive disc? If so, would you be willing to give me a copy of it, just need the files so I could burn my own disc.

That's asking a lot I know, but I would really appreciate it! I am kinda broke right now, not to mention it would take at least a couple days to ship if I did get one online, and I was kinda hoping to check out some games as soon as possible!

              Re: What's up

              Sorry, but no.

I don't engage in piracy, and it's against the rules here to ask for stuff like that.

You're just going to have to pick an option, and save up for it.

it's not piracy if I have the owner's permision is it? but that's cool, thanks for the heads up though, as I didn't realize that sorta thing was against the rules here. I appreciate your help though. At least now I know what I need to do! Thanks again!

Owners permission means permission of the ones that made the software.
