After talking to Alissa, the only other contest #3 judge (mikochan dropped out), we decided on something that should make things easier on people who aren't us.

If you are currently registered on the pavilion, and you have submitted a full game, it is automatically entered in the contest. We decided that we should not limit this contest to just the best of the submitted games, no... we're out to find the absolute best RPG Maker game. We're adding more prizes too.

Just remember to have your games submitted by september 18th.

Other news:

Restoration to the pavilion is going well. not as great as I would have hoped, but it's progressing. the submission system should be up and running tonight (LATE tonight), the chat will be working again by friday, and the drawing board will be opened up next week.

Money for the pavilion is running low. So ads will appear on the site before the end of the month. They would have gone up sooner, but RPGProgrammer was super awesome and helped keep us going since early summer. I hoped I would find a decent paying job before now... but I'm sure you all know how that goes. anyways, when the ads appear, click them once per day, and from as many different IP addresses as you can. In addition to paying the site's bandwidth bills, the money is also going to go to upgrading the pavilion's server and the site itself.

Bummer about the ads, but I'll do it.

If I could periodically send a little money through paypal, would that help?

This has confuzed me already. So if I'm registered, and I submitted a game that was full, it automatically counts as my one and only submission allowed for the contest?
Or are you playing ALL of the games ever created that were full on this pavilion?

If so, besta luck to you ;)

Ha I'll just use all the comps at school! That'll be a bunch of diff IP's then. So do they not accept ad clicks after 1 click or what?

I don't have any games to enter in the contest, but I'll be supporting the pav with the ad thing... I'll be on every day (if I can) to click 'em.

So... is it just, like, one ad-click a day? Or do you get money for every different ad I click in one day?

each IP address can only count once per day.

as for the contest thing, yes, we're allowing multiple entries per person now.

You probably have the ads your going to do already but you should put some up for places like IGN and Gamespot cause i am sure most of us go there once a day anyway.

uh, but you see, IGN and Gamespot arent going to pay to advertise on the pavilion.

and even if they did, I'll be damned if I'm going to advertise a site that used to steal content from the pavilion.

Well at least they won't be popup ads cause those things are annoying as hell.

Hey, ads are cool. Suprised you held out this long without them.

Valkysas

XP games would be okay, but keep in mind that RPG Maker XP is coming out September 16th, and the contest deadline is September 18th.

Valk, I have a request, could you take my game out of the contest?

It's not really finished(The full game, "Light Warrior" for RPGM2, is only the first part and first version of Part 1), and I don't really want my game reviewed until it's
fully finished.

....And that won't be for a while.
