Can anybody record something for me?

...Preferably in digital, but I can remove tape hiss if necessary.

I need the sound of a gentle wind blowing, and rustling leaves. It needs to be at least a couple of minutes long. It would be best if it was recorded in some woods, with an omni-directional mic. Can anybody do this for me? I would just do it myself...I have a professional mic, but it's broken, and I can't afford to get a new one right now.

Perv, you still have a minidisc recorder, don't you?

    Anybody else?

I need this for the new EP I'm working on.

I would love you if you could help me with this!!

I do not have a portable MD recorder. My portable is only a player, I believe. My home unit is (obviously) a recorder.

      Damn.

I thought mine was just a player, but on closer inspection I found an optical in, and one of those weird, rectangular mic jacks like on a PSP.

Neither one of those will help me with a broken mic though.

Heyyy if your MD recorder player is the same Sony as mine, it's optical as well as analog in.

Either way, I've got some gear, but no omnidirectional mics. I'm also far from the woods. There's a cemetary close by but you might hear traffic and such.

I do have a stereo mic on my sony video camera, which I can transfer from digi-8 tape to high quality audio through firewire. Ummm, I'll keep you in mind dude, but I can't guarantee I can provide your optimal desired results. Worrrrd.

Hey thanks! Yeah, that would be cool...just keep me in mind.

And I have a Sony MZ-N505 Net MD, the gold one. I knew that the optical in was also analog, but my stereo mic is only transmitting in mono for some reason. But you know...I just thought of something. I wonder if it was the 1/4" to 1/8" adapter I was using. I tried both that I had, and they both had the same results, but maybe they are both mono adapters? I should probably hit radiosham and look for a stereo one just to be sure.

I got a laptop recently, and the weather was perfect. So I took it out on the porch and tried to record through the internal mic. I got way too many onboard sounds. I don't mean from other programs, I mean motor noises like fans and drives. Even with noise cancellation turned on (which carves great cavities in the audio), you can still hear those noises.
