Why not have a forum dedicated to the Let's Play's we've had scattered throughout various forums on the Pavilion? What say you, Roadside Cheese Camera?

Re: Let's Play Forum
I knew it was only a matter of time before people started forming a mob in response to my LPs. (I'm willing to bet the vote-down came from someone here.) 'Course, it probably wouldn't be such a big deal had I stuck with a small selection of games. Or just keep them all in one topic. If it makes y'all feel better, I'm cutting back starting this week.
Still, maybe I should stick with only posting the RPGM stuff. Every time I post one of the others, I can't help but feel that nobody's gonna be interested. Or that I'll get lynched. ...Besides, we all know that I'd be the only one to make use of a dedicated LP section.Last edited by ErikaFuzzbottom; 09-12-2011, 08:01 AM."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Re: Let's Play Forum
Four people is a mob~
Also, you seem to be going the Gloom/Perversion route...namely, undertaking WAY too many projects and splaying them forth for the entire Pavilion to see and eventually ridicule. Because one or two ongoing projects is reasonable. Five or how many ever LPs you have ongoing now borders on ridiculous.

Re: Let's Play Forum
Honestly, I think Dray has a persecution complex. Never REALLY dawned on me until just now.
Dray, it's cool that you enjoy making these and sharing them, but once it becomes so bloated and unwieldy as it currently is, you HAVE to expect some sort of backlash or less-than-enthusiastic response, especially from the group of cynics that comprise the Pavilion.
I'm gonna tell you something similar to what I told Crythania a few years ago (and you DO have a number of things in common with him)...it's cool that this is what you enjoy doing, but you cannot really expect everyone to be 100% complementary and encouraging with everything you do. At least for myself, I'm not gonna put on kid gloves just to make sure I don't hurt anyone's feelings or risk offending them in the slightest manner.
The real world does not work by coddling people and giving constant words of encouragement, and it most certainly does not work that way here amongst a group of cynical, jaded gamers.
So keep doing what you are doing, enjoy it, and perhaps slow down a bit, and try not to undertake so many projects at one time where you become overwhelmed, or at least overwhelm the Pavilion with all these seperate topics. If you do that, I think you'll be okay, even if the majority of people here do not necessarily have a lot of interest in watching you play Blast Corps for the N64.Last edited by Perversion; 09-12-2011, 11:40 AM.

Re: Let's Play Forum
I think Dray is doing a great service to the pavilion with his RM LP's.
And that's not just because he's doing Tree of Life eventually.
But Dray, maybe you should just update links in your banner for the non-RM LP's that you do? They don't bother me, but maybe other people?
...maybe? Although I honestly haven't heard a lot of *****ing from people who don't just ***** about everything all the time.

Re: Let's Play Forum
Oh, I completely understand. Actually, I had already come to realize I was doing too much while editing those last two videos, and had already planned to cut back by the time this topic was made. Here's the relevant channel update I uploaded last night: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vD07XGfve7UDray, it's cool that you enjoy making these and sharing them, but once it becomes so bloated and unwieldy as it currently is, you HAVE to expect some sort of backlash or less-than-enthusiastic response, especially from the group of cynics that comprise the Pavilion.
The reason I expected criticism WAS because I knew I was posting too many new games and cluttering the VG forum. I almost didn't create the Sly Cooper topic, but I felt that would've put the new video of Blast Corps out of context since I directly mention Sly.
And the reason I was tackling so many in the first place was because at the rate I do these (only 30-60 minutes per week per game), it would take me forever to get through all the games I wanted, as well as all the games in my request queue. Although, in my defense, the reason I felt it safe to start Sly Cooper was because I ragequit Aidyn Chronicles.
But yeah, I'm cutting back. I'll only be updating two of the let's plays in the VG forum from here on. Two, because one of them has already been finished and edited, so I have the time to spare to record the other."What if like...there was an exact copy of you somewhere, except they're the opposite gender, like you guys could literally have a freaky friday moment and nothing would change. Imagine the best friendship that could be found there."
