I'm playing God of War.

I just started. And I already suck. But it's one of those games that in the first few minutes you already know it's better than most of the games you've ever played. As soon as they threw me into the action after only a minute or two of very mysterious and intriguing intro I knew these game designers knew what they were doing. I don't like having to tap or hold a button for a while to open doors and chests though, that seems weird.

FYI, I rented it through Gamefly. It took almost an entire week to get here so I don't plan to keep using them past the free trial. Just not worth it when I already get two free game rentals a month from Blockbuster. I'll probably buy GoW as soon as I sent it back to Gamefly, this game is cool.

After hearing about it, I'm probably just going to rent it.

In fact, I'm going to sign up with a local renting place within my next few paychecks or so to cut down on gaming costs.

It started out really good but like DMC and all it's clones it got old fast. Or maybe it was just me.

This was the first game I bought for my PS2.

Magus, you are a wimpy-man.

I've played through it on hero mode and only got stuck once. On the part with those multi-headed dogs.

Oh, you must mean the OTHER God of War topic where I ACTUALLY posted something!

I didn't say that it was too hard, I said that the game's got an ANNOYING PROBLEM.

Picture this: It's this dumb puzzle, you gotta get past something. It's trail-and-error, you know, something where the solution is in PLAIN SIGHT but it just takes a bit of finesse and some skill to complete... Or it takes TWENTY OR SO TRIES because I'M impatient and the game's pace suddenly SLAMMED into a brick wall with this DUMB LITTLE TRAP/PUZZLE THING. And the game has the STONES to ask me if I wanna switch to ***** little EASY mode because of........

God of War is tricky, but it isn't that bad.

Beat it in about 3-4 days.

The puzzles were that bad for you? A lot of the puzzles in God of War just require timing and careful environment checking. I thought the puzzles were pretty easy once you focus....

But after non-stop button-mashing action they're kind of a detriment to the game's flow, IMHO.

This game proves that the GTA adult rating thing was stupid. This game is all blood and boobs and it still gets an M.

I'm enjoying it emmensely. I usually hate fast reflex action games. Mostly cause I suck at them. But I'm doing well at GoW, it's pretty easy. The puzzles can get annoying when trying to figure it out but once you do it's like, "huh that should've been obvious, silly me."

The gameplay was very easy to get into. The best i like about God of War was the way it presented its story, as well as all the bonus materials including those hinting at a sequel and even a spin off to the game set in modern times. The modern one I am dying to know more about. That teaser explains what happened to kronos, and also hints there was more to the temple of pandora than what was seen in God of War.

I just got to the upper levels of the Temple of Pandora. The Challenge of Hades was sadistically annoying. Magus is right. What's the point of having only combat effected by the difficulty setting when combat is obviously not the hard part? I kept dying while walking on the planks with the spinning blades. Switching to easy mode would have been in no way helpful so it was annoying for it to keep asking me.

OMFG I FINISHED IT!!!! I hardly ever finish a game. And I did this one in half a week. I just couldn't put it down, plus I was determined to complete it before I had to return it to GameFly. This was without a doubt the most fun I've ever had playing a game. As frustrating as it was at times every time I got past a huge battle or difficult puzzle I really felt like I'd accomplished something. And this game truly makes you feel like a badass while you're wailing on dozens of enemies and especially the final boss. I freakin loved this game!!! Looking at the video of deleted levels you can see that given the time this team could've mad the game even more intense. The inevitable sequel will be something to see.

GOD OF WAR IS THE BEST GAME EVER!!!! (Okay, maybe not. But it kicked muchos assias.)
