I want to talk about RPGM3. The graphics look awesome. Lizard man and Bird man are awesome. The character portraits are awesome. Its gonna be awesome.

Usually when I think up game ideas I have graphics like RM3 (or rather like other current RPGs) in mind and would be disappointed with what I could do with RM1 and 2. Now I'll be able to make them the way I'd like to. I can't wait for this game to come out.

you think they'll make a strategy guide for this game? i bet they'll make one. i hope the instruction booklet is thick and full of color. i love that new game scent! mmmmmm. :)

Considering the length of the RPGM2 SG (Which was basically a more complete owner's manual), unless if they decide to throw in quite a few programming tricks, it'll hardly be worth getting. You won't need it. Trust me. :grin

:lol Everybody on the pav keeps asking me that. I like to think it's a mutated llama. I'm not sure what the creator meant it to be. I was looking at G4's website and I saw it on the boards. I liked it so I kinda... ya know.. stole it.

Definately! And with Valkysas, and everyone else getting advance copies, the information is going to ramp up considerably. I can't wait!

Why is it that everyone is only starting to get excited about RPGM3? I was this excited when I first saw the screen shots. I feel the same way I do now then I did then. I guess the fact the Valk likes it made some people change their minds.

For one thing, we went in an information blackout from Agetec for awhile, where there was almost no new information to gawk at and yammer like chimpanzees on meth about. Now Valk has given quite a bit of information out, and we trust Valk regarding RPGM. There's been quite a bit of excitement here about RPGM3, you just weren't here for most of it. Heck, I don't even think I was here for most of it. Plus RPGMXP's legal release in just four short days was diverting a little of the interest away.

Then there's the "8 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!11111!!!!1" factor. Then there's the last minute entries to the last contest to be limited to the currently existing RPGMs (1,2, and the Japanese XP) working on getting the final play testing checks done.

There's lots of excitement here, and lots of things to be excited about. :D

The thing that gets me is that people are more excited about RPGM3 than XP and XP comes out sooner.

It's not that XP comes out sooner, it's that XP and RPGM3 are two different tools. One's 2D with a lot of customizability, the other is 3D with almost everything set in stone for you so you don't have to do any of the extra work (even if you wanted to).
