Your favorite point-and-click adventure/puzzle games, and why?

Let's see some love for a genre that has had a slight resurgance. My favorite will probably forever be Quest For Glory 1, So You Want To Be A Hero. There were multiple ways to solve problems, depending on your character class, and that just blew my mind (you still really don't see this done in the genre). Such a funny and fun game as well.

More recently, I thoroughly enjoyed the Monkey 1 and 2 remakes. Even though some of the graphics art choices weren't all that great, the voice acting was supurb.

I also want to give a shout out to Grim Fandango. It was such an original setting and idea for a game, and hilarious like all of Tim Shaffer's other offerings.

I've only ever finished the first two Strong Bad point-and-click games. Owned Myst, once, but the puzzles in that were way too difficult for me to figure out. However, my favorite would probably be Torin's Passage. I've never played it, but I watched an LP of it done by Lantis, and it looked like a very entertaining game. Stupid, but entertaining.

There's also a point-and-click game I vaguely remember playing on an Apple machine way back in middle school, but though I loved it, I couldn't begin to tell you what game it was. I'm not even sure whether it was really point-and-click, or if it was a text-input adventure.

      Discworld.

Both of them (I don't count Discworld Noir because I never played it).

      Blazing Dragons was fun too.

As for why, Both had writing and voices by members of the Monty Python troupe and both were VERY Silly!

      MOO!

Hotel Dusk and Last Window are pretty great. Intriguing story and characters, and the perfect style of game for the DS. I really enjoy them both.

Monkey Island 1 and 2. The second game was seriously one of the hardest games I've ever played. Also, Tales of Monkey Island becuase it's awesome and a worthy entry in the series. Haven't played Escape or Curse though I've heard Curse is the best

King's Quest was fun, but goddamn I didn't know where to go, what to do, or even how to survive for more than five minutes.

              Space Quest

              - Played it with my father when I was little and really enjoy the quirky humor throughout the series.

Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law. Because I think it's the only game of this type I ever finished. It was pretty entertaining anyhow.

Quest for Glory 4 or 5. Moreso 5 because of less bugs. But 4 has nostalgia.
