Here's a scenario I've imagined (every great thing starts with an idea):
In a scenario in an RPG, an NPC is leaving the town the party has stopped in to go into the nearby temple-esque area (or something) The party has two options: Go along with the veteran warrior to help him out, or let the veteran warrrior go on his own at first, and (of course) go after him the next morning.
If the party chooses to go with him, they are faced with the standard temple dungeon stuff: A bunch of puzzles, treasure chests ripe for the looting allover the place, etc.
However, if the party chooses to wait, when the finally leave for the temple, they'll find that all the puzzles have already been solved (presumably by the veteran warrior). However, as a tradoff, all of the treasure chests have been opened.
Sure, I haven't written any code as to how this works just yet, but it's an amusing little idea.
