Acceptable amount of days for roommate's gf

My roommate has his girlfriend over...5 out of 7 days of the week. It's annoying...and it's not like she's paying rent. I ask you, Pavilion, what is the maximum amount of days a week should I allow my roommate's girlfriend to be over? My family says 2.

Mora, when she's over, she's over the whole day and also sleeps over...and this is going on 5 out of 7 days of the week.

2 days/week is way too low of a threshold, IMO. This happened to me a couple years ago where the girlfriend was over all day and night 6-7 days a week, but they were mostly hanging out in their bedroom the whole time, so it really didn't affect me at all.

If it's really bothering you, unless you're his landlord, I would just mention to him specifically how it is causing an inconvenience for you and see if he just ends up being more conservative with the amount she's over. I could see telling him exactly how many days "you'll allow" his girlfriend over to cause some future tension.

Make her share in the rent/utilities. 1/3 instead of 1/2 is nice, if you're already sharing with that ratio.

No reason for her to share in the rent; she's not really taking up another room or anything. But she definitely needs to be chipping in for utilities in this situation, or being covered by the guy. Tell 'em either do that or cut down on the conjugal visits.

why does the guy get a place with her, or move in with her. its not like she needs her other apartment as shes over so much. is it a relationship thats recent? it could settle down if its new. definitely ask him to curb it a bit.

Is she eating your food? Wasting water or burning energy needlessly? If not, I don't see the big deal(Unless you just don't like her)

He should limit it to no more than 3 times a week. He lives there, not her. Unless she pays rent or the utilities, but i'm pretty sure that it isnt appropriate. Now if you did the same thing, then you have no right to complain (unless you are the property owner, or the only person on the lease).
